All rooms are decorated with William Morris wallpaper, sumptuous drapes and rugs and fireplaces. The rooms and ensuites have been thoughtfully designed to bring a period stylish atmosphere with modern facilities whilst remaining true to the wonderful character of the house. Please note that many of the furnishings are antique and therefore may have signs of age which adds to the Victorian ambience.

Meadowsweet takes its name from the Morris wallpaper originally designed by J.H Dearle in 1904 in Arts and Crafts style. It has a whimsical and nostalgic charm.
This is an elegant sunny room with views over the Walkham Valley and the Magpie Viaduct. It boasts a beautiful king size four poster bed with luxury ensuite bathroom entered through double stained-glass doors featuring a roll top slipper bath with hand held shower. High level toilet, vanity unit with large mirror above with shaving point.
Daisy takes its name from the wallpaper which was the first to be produced by William Morris, inspired by mediaeval illustrations after embroidering daisy motifs on wall hangings for is home, Red House.
This is a lovely light sunny room in the morning with a view over the herb terrace and side garden. It has a super king size bed or can be configured as a twin room. Please state at the time of booking. It has an en suite shower room, accessed through a stained-glass door, walk in shower, high level toilet, Victorian wash stand with counter top basin with large mirror above and shaving point.
Brer Rabbit takes its name from the wallpaper which is designed from a 17th Century Italian silk and was first registered as a wallpaper in 1882.
This is a pretty twin bedroom with views over the lawn. It has a private bathroom with separate toilet both situated along the landing.
We regret that for bed and breakfast guests we are unable to accommodate pets in the Vicarage.
