Breakfast Menu

The traditional English Breakfast was first introduced in the Victorian era so we are delighted to offer you a choice from the following served in the dining room.


This is a sample of our breakfast menu, it is subject to change according to the season and availability. Please let us know when you book if you have any specific dietary requirements so that we can endeavour to meet your needs.


We source as much of our food from Dartmoor as possible. Our meat comes from Bidders Butchers in Yelverton, the back bacon is dry cured then oak smoked, the sausages are handmade, our bread when not homemade, comes from Honey’s Bakery in the village, honey from Dartmoor, home grown organic produce from our own kitchen garden and eggs from our own hens. Marmalades and jams either homemade by us or from Dartmoor.

Fresh orange juice (other juices available).

Selection of cereals served with semi skimmed or soya milk.

Dartmoor Porridge – a traditional porridge with either raisins sprinkled with cinnamon, Devon honey, golden syrup or demerara sugar.

Homemade granola served with natural yoghurt and fresh seasonal fruit.

Dartmoor Breakfast – Our own free-range eggs, local Dartmoor sausage, local smoked back bacon, fresh tomato, field mushroom and baked beans.

Vegetarian Breakfast – Free range eggs, grilled fresh tomatoes, sautéed mushrooms, baked beans, vegetarian sausage.

Smoked Salmon with Scrambled eggs served on buttered toast of your choice.

Sautéed Mushrooms served on buttered toast.

Boiled eggs with toast soldiers.

Bread Basket – assortment of warm pastries and bread or toast served with local butter or flora, homemade marmalade, jams and Dartmoor honey.

Freshly brewed Miles English Breakfast or Earl Grey tea leaves.

Cafetiere of Miles coffee – decaffeinated available.

Pot of hot chocolate.
